Scope

To monitor the development of technical standards, in concert with other standards making bodies, where those standards are likely to be adopted for use in an Australian regulatory arrangement. To mandate appropriate national and international standards under legislative authority. The ACMA makes standards in relation to the radiocommunications, telecommunications, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and RF health and safety issues associated with electrical and electronic equipment.
